Packaging Box Design and Print Option

Each paper sleeve is printed on 300gsm silk cardstock as standard; but please see our product options to customise your cardboard box band, with a range of different paper stocks & finishes to choose from. Create your own sleeve designs: when you have placed your order, please send us one of your boxes, we will use this to create a blank pdf template for you to add your artwork to. Our printed box sleeves have a wide range of uses, add them to any product or box to create an eye-catching packaging box design. Whether you're opting for printed book sleeves, tea towel sleeves or candle sleeves - we've got you covered with this excellent marketing tool: display your company name, product details and important product information with ease. Add a printed sleeve to your otherwise blank packaging to grab the attention of potential customers! We can produce scored sleeves to fold around your box or if you want to simply wrap the sleeve around your products, opt for a belly band - produced without score lines for easy wrapping. Can I create two sleeves that are the same size but have different artwork?

Yes, simply select “Multiple Versions” on the price calculator and let us know how many versions you need printed. We will only need one box sent in if they are the same size.

Do we need to add our designs to the template and send the mock up back to you, or do we supply just the images and text to the design team and they add them to the template?

As standard our designer will send you the artwork template for you to add the design and send back to us. If you’d prefer to send you files to us for our designer to create the artwork then this is fine but there may be a small charge.

What does it mean when you say “remove the template before supplying or leave it as a separate layer” in your Artwork Guide?

This is a safeguard to ensure that the template doesn’t accidentally get printed. One file should be supplied with the template lines included and one file with the template removed.

Shall I send my box to you before placing my order?

It is up to you, you can send it to us before or after placing your order.

What will happen once I have placed my order?

Once you have placed your order, we will send you over an order confirmation. Please then send us your box/product for us to create a template for your artwork. When sending your box, please include your order number.

Where shall I send my box to for a template to be made?

Please send your template to Box Sleeve Printing, Unit 4 Stanton Rd Industrial Estate, Stanton Road, Southampton, Hampshire, SO15 4HU. Please mark it for the attention of sales and add you order number to the outside of the box so we can match it up with your order!

What can I use box sleeves for?

Box Sleeves and Belly Bands can be used for any retail products. Either use them as a band to keep your products neatly together or as a sleeve to sit over your box – either way, use the space to promote your product, company branding and important product information!

How are box sleeves supplied?

You can choose how to have your box sleeves supplied – either taped and flat or taped and made up. If ordering large quantities, the option to have the sleeves supplied taped and made up can slow down the delivery date due to the finishing time required to make up the sleeves.

Once you have confirmed the packaging you will be using and placed your order for the sleeves, simply pop a sample of the box in the post to the following address:

As soon as your sample box has been received and linked to your order it will be passed to the production team to be professionally measured and a prototype sleeve will be created to ensure the perfect fit.

Our design team will then use the prototype to create a digital PDF template that will be emailed to you for artwork creation. If you have decided to use our in-house design services, instead of emailing you the blank template we will use it to complete the design and then email over the proof for approval.

This template will then be kept on file for all future orders or reprints to ensure the same fit. If you ever decide to change your packaging the process will need to be completed again to create a new template.

Please Note:

Be sure to include your name, company name, contact details and order number when posting your sample, if the sample is receive without these details it will likely cause production delays as we will be unable to link it to your order.

It is up to you whether you supply the sample box flat packed or assembled, either way it will need to be packed securely as if the box if received too damaged we will be unable to use it for template creation.

If you require the sample to be returned to you please let us know and we will make sure it is packed up and delivered along with your completed order.
